The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration has cited the Ohio-based company, Kenton Iron Products LLC for 29 alleged violations.
The violations have totaled a charged of $214,500 for the alleged serious, willful, and repeated safety and health violations. Some of the violations include: failing to make sure that equipment is turned off properly and also failing to make sure that the lockout procedures were in place before workers performed maintenance tasks on them.
Other serious violations were fined such as, flammable liquids being stored in unsafe areas, faulty backup alarms, lack of employee fall protections, and unlabeled containers of hazardous chemicals.
